Bosch 8 707 406 104 0 Universal Hydro Generator Assembly

I bought this new generator on 11/1/2018. It looked like I needed to replace the stub pipe but was paranoid I would twist the copper piping that runs into the heat exchanger. It has flats but I thought I needed a right-angle 11/16 open end or similar to counter-hold it. Put it off as the old generator was still working (barely). Today, 11/10/2019, the old generator finally crapped out. NO sparks at all, not even slow sparks like before. I got out the new parts and found I didn't need to replace any of the piping as the new generator would fit even though it is 3/8" shorter. All a 125 HX needs is the generator, the piping included must be for a different model(s). Perhaps the instructions should include more than just an exploded diagram? At any rate, I connected it and plugged in the supplied adapter cable (blue & black wires) to the original (red & black wires) and it works GREAT! I'm going to have a hot shower tonight!!! Thank you Boston Heating Supply! Folks, don't procrastinate, replace your hydro generator today, it's easy! LOL

This part replacement has actually made my water heater work better then ever. It appears they changed the design from the previous part. We had a hard time getting the hydro ignition to kick in before the new part from the moment it was installed. NO problems now at all! This company also mailed the part out right away!
